Heart of Power - Embodied Astrology for the Leo New Moon - August 18, 2020
If you’re interested in working with the new moon’s magic through somatic pathways, the recording of last night’s lunar attunement ritual is now available. The ritual includes a felt-sense practice for connecting with your heart, prompts to explore the new moon themes through writing and drawing, and a guided journey into the mysterious landscape of your personal power. A post-ritual mini-workshop dives into the new moon’s aspects with practice tips for interpreting and applying our embodied astrology to your natal chart. 100% proceeds donated to The Queer Detainee Empowerment Project.
An interpretation for August 18, 2020 New Moon at 26º Leo
Conjunct Mercury in Leo, this is a moment that brings support to recognize, utilize and mobilize our personal power in courageous, creative and authentic ways. The ongoing and worsening crisis of our global moment is bringing an exponential increase of experiences and exposures with oppression, scarcity, and restriction. How are we and how will we respond to these mounting pressures and hardships? Trine Mars/Eris/Lilith in Aries, this is a new moon that holds the potential for powerful breakthroughs and mobilization, but also demands accountability and brings the need to reckon with the forces and impact of power and violence that flow through our world and relationships.
Yesterday, Mercury and the Sun commenced a new chapter with each other. This chapter speaks to growth and evolution of personal, subjective awareness, and urges learning through recent experiences that have pushed us to clarify our concepts or examine our intent. We are now supported by increased seriousness, and greater ability to realistically forecast into possibilities for long-term potential.
Arriving four days before the end of Leo season, this point of turning in the lunar cycle invites us to turn towards the deeper questions raised and lessons learned in the past month, and prompts a period of reflection as we move into Virgo season’s request for refinement.
With love and respect,
Renee
