Meet Our Team

Renee Sills is a multidisciplinary artist, author, astrologer, educator, and the founder of Embodied Astrology. They are a second generation astrologer and lifelong student of somatic healing practices. They hold a BFA in Intermedia & Cyber Art and an MFA in Contemporary Art in Social Practice and approach their work with astrology and embodiment as processes of ritual performance and participatory art. The throughline of their work is ongoing investigation of interrelatedness, spirituality, mindfulness, creative agency, and the adaptive processes of the human body in contemporary landscapes of the anthropocene. 

Renee has worked as consulting astrologer since 2014 and has read for thousands of clients. In addition to individual readings, they offer monthly and yearly sign-based horoscopes and collective readings, and they tend the Embodied Astrology virtual learning space – a vibrant and growing online community that celebrates and explores creative, experiential, fugitive, feminist, and somatic forms of astrology. Alisha Mawji (she/they) is a space holder and operations coordinator at Embodied Astrology. She’s a Leo rising, Taurus sun, Libra moon, and currently lives on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations (aka Vancouver, Canada). Alisha seeks to embody trauma-informed and Kingian nonviolent practices in all areas of their life.
Her mind often wanders to what drives our behavior as human animals, and finds astrology a deeply informative lens through which to experience the world and those in it. Her work in the world, personally and professionally, revolves around creating and extending empathy, and bringing people together in community. Alisha lives from a space of radical hope, and is confident in the infinite possibilities for our collective future.

Gabz 404 (b. 1991) is a Brazilian self-taught photographer, activist and astrologer who investigates how gender dissidences challenge and destabilize the status quo. Elements such as identity, memory and preservation of stories are present in their body of work. At Embodied Astrology, Gabz works as the Audiovisual Content Creator and is responsible for video editing and subtitling, and creating images for workshops and social media posts. 

In 2020, they created ser trans, a co-authored visual storytelling project that represents and celebrates the beauty and power of trans and nonbinary people through photographic essays and interviews. Gabz has received awards and has been featured in zines, books and in exhibitions throughout Brazil. They are the director of the feature "Intransitive: a documentary about trans stories'' (2022). More recently, they started using AI to investigate how it contains information stored in the collective unconscious around transgenderness and the implications of Pluto in Aquarius.

ash good (they/them) provides brand styling, graphic design, and cyber-support for Embodied Astrology’s website, online community, and published content. A Cancer sun, Libra rising, and Scorpio moon, ash embraces astrology as a companion at the threshold of visible/invisible and as a creative language for the rich textures and patterns of outer and inner space. ash is all about poetry, a growth mindset, light-up sneakers, enjoying the scenic route, and fostering juicy collaboration. They live in Portland, Oregon, with more than 77 noisy houseplants.

Ariana Sierzputowski ☉ virgo sun ☾ aquarius moon ↑ scorpio rising

Ariana Sierzputowski was born & raised in NYC and is currently living in Denver. She is an interdisciplinary artist and loves experimenting with the synthesis of various mediums. In Vermont, she studied photography, psychology, and public action at Bennington College. She has been working with Embodied Astrology and under mentorship with Renee since 2020. Growing up with a family of astrology enthusiasts, they fostered her lifelong love of astrology and she began reading birth charts from an early age. She continues to enjoy the study of astrology, exploring its many intersections including somatics, disability/chronic illness, trauma, and generational trends. She has a feisty little cat named Leo (though, he is a Gemini!) and is currently teaching herself crochet and embroidery.
